The Nameless Flower, Blooming Across the Entire Wilderness

In a distant wilderness, there was a nameless flower.

She was rose-magenta, rich and full in colour, like a rose in full bloom, carrying a warmth that could not easily be ignored.

Flames had once scorched her petals. Cold had seeped into her roots. Yet she never changed the way she looked because of the eyes of the world.

You stand in the wilderness.

The wind comes from somewhere far away, carrying the scent of burned grass and wood.

The sky is growing dark, but not completely dark yet. A narrow strip of rose-magenta still remains along the horizon, as if someone had taken the finest brush and gently drawn a single stroke between heaven and earth.

You look down at yourself.

Then you raise your head.

You think of many things.

You remember all those moments when you were hurt, yet changed the words that had almost reached your lips into a simple, “I’m fine.”

You remember the moments when you desperately wanted to fight for something, only to tell yourself in the end, “Never mind.”

You remember how you once spoke your mind without hesitation, how you used to laugh loudly among a crowd.

But later, little by little, you learned to hold yourself back.

The wind gives you a gentle push from behind.

You take one step.

Then another.

And suddenly, you want to say something:

“If I didn’t have to worry about what anyone else thought, what kind of person would I truly want to become?”

The light catches your eyes.

You look up—

and somehow, the nameless flowers across the entire wilderness have all bloomed.

One beside another.

Vivid rose-magenta intertwined with soft, gentle silver-white, spreading across every inch of land your eyes can reach.

Only then do you see it clearly.

There was never just one.

They were everywhere, covering the entire wilderness.

You had simply been looking down for far too long.

If even you stop standing on your own side, there will be no one left to make you bloom.
